I went on middle school tours recently and one stood out above all. They offer kids a diverse selection of electives and after school activities, since they believe that friendships chosen through mutual interests are stronger than those we’ve been placed in. I wholeheartedly agree with that.

My bestest best best friend Lumi and I met when we were eight, catching butterflies in the school yard. We still laugh at the same ridiculous things 40 years later.

My ride or die bff Rita and I are still getting into real-good-trouble since we were introduced at 18 while out dancing.

And my bestie Lauren and I connected in our 40’s over spirituality, travel, and our love for delicious food, and have already created memories to cover a lifetime.
