EP100 "Willing To Feel" Becca Peters
Wow, episode 100!!! I'm so proud of each and every single one of these conversations. A huge thank you to all of you generous souls, for sharing and for listening. To honor this milestone I share with you a tender and heart centered moment between friends.
I first met Becca last summer, and was immediately captivated by her calming presence, glowing smile and kind eyes. She’s pure Mother energy, with a grounded gentleness you just want to be around. I’ve had the honor of not only having her as a friend, but also a student.
In this episode we discuss the true meaning of mindfulness, what it means to lead with a “soft heart”, the magic of observing pain as a portal for connection, and how to integrate compassion into all our actions.
Becca Peters is a psychotherapist who has developed a decades long spiritual practice of supporting women who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from the essence of joy, or simply longing to feel more vital and more connected to their heart with a deepened sense of purpose.
She draws not only from her expertise in working with children, women, and families in her private practice grounded in attachment theory and internal family systems, but also from evidenced based self-compassion and mindfulness modalities of which she teaches for Stanford, UCLA and UCSD.
