Recipe: A simple nut milk
By popular demand, my formula for creating the perfect, creamiest and freshest nut milk.
YOU WILL NEED
A high speed blender (Vitamix is my weapon)
A good nut milk bag (try this one, or you can grab one at Wholefoods or your health food store)
A large bowl
Nuts (cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts... all make delicious milks. Or have fun and experiment with some of your favorites).
Filtered or bottled water.
Makes 3 servings
1 cup RAW nuts, soaked for at least one hour - or overnight
3 1/2 cups of filtered or bottled water
Blend the nuts and water in your high speed blender.
Strain through nut milk mag onto a large bowl (milk it! it's my favorite part, put some love and happy thoughts into it).
Use immediately or store in fridge for up to 3 days.
