Food hugs for fat-loss: Feel good day 12
The language we’ve been conditioned to use around food can be really harsh: a “cheat” meal sounds like we’re doing something terrible, and a “treat” like something we need to earn. Eating our favorite foods can be done with intention and joy, after all, that’s the whole point!
I prefer calling these “food hugs”, it shifts the energy and we accept if from a different set of emotions. When having one, I recommend adding them to your already balanced Ideal Plate, so you’re giving your body what it needs, as you also enjoy something you want.
For example: load your pizza with cooked veggies and protein, and pair it with a side salad. And if you plan on having dessert, make sure to have an Ideal Plate meal beforehand. As we say in The PaolaGang: Its better to eat a happy donut, than a sad salad.
What’s your favorite food hug? Let me know!
